Moem Safe is designed to be part of your everyday life.

In order to make sure your valuables will always under protected and secure condition, we designed and build the safe with extra cautious and meticulously.

To avoid any potential error, we highly recommend that you look into this user manual before the installation.

Important:

  • It is essential that you keep the product invoice outside your safe. It will be required for all warranty-related claims as well as the necessary intervention in the case of lost key or codes.
  • If this safe must be sold or given to another person, make sure that this user manual and the product invoice are also given to the new user so that he or she may become properly acquainted with its operating mode.
  • For the optimal protection of your valuables, the safe must be installed by qualified personnel.
  • If your safe is equipped with a key lock, we advice you to keep one key within reach and leave the other in a safe place. If your safe is equipped with an electronic or mechanical combination lock, change the code on regular basis. Do not forget the code; do not write it in this user manual nor other documents pertaining to your safe. Do not place the code near your safe.

Safe Placement

Customer is responsible to verify the load bearing weight of the floor or stairs. The weight for each respective safe is indicated on the parcel box. Besides, customer may use an empty box to check is the safe able to fit all the way to the final location.

  • Define your safe location before floor drilling.
  • Please take note that all safe are prepared to be based fixed (at 1 hole) on the floor.

Please consider the below following when choosing a location:

  • To protect the exterior finish consider installing the safe inside your home where there’s climate control.
  • Where the safe is placed will have a big impact on how it will perform during a fire. Consider lower levels (1st floor or basement) where temperatures tend to be cooler and try to stay away from potential hot spots (area where flammable materials are stored).

Safety Recommendations

Please contact your usual retailer or MoemSafe if you safe has undergone any damage, such lock is not operating, fire attempt, attempt to break in and etc.

Kindly note that ANY MODIFICATIONS SUBSEQUENT TO MANUFACTURE, such as

  • Replacing an existing lock by a lock which does not carry the same reference or
  • Replacing an existing lock by another lock not certified for the safe range,
  • Any modification to the construction (fire seal removal, drilling extra holes through the body or the door for compressed air feeding, ventilation, fixing…)
  • Any modification to the rod assemble whatever the nature or extent,

OR ANY OTHER INCIDENT BREACHING THE SECURITY OF YOUR PRODUCT SUCH AS:

  • Fire,
  • Attempt to break in, forcing…

RESULTS IN THE IMMEDIATE INVALIDITY OF THE SAFE’S CERTIFICATION AND ITS FEATURES WITH RESPECT TO ITS WARRANTIES.

If you believe your safe has undergone any damage, we advise you to immediately contact your usual retailer for further advice. 

Care

To maintain painted surfaces, the safe must be stored properly, in a climate-controlled environment. (i.e. with conditioned air preventing wide temperature fluctuations). The safe must not be exposed to weather or excessive humidity.

Hardware items (i.e. handle, lock dial and ring, hinge caps, etc.) are plated and include a protective coating to help prevent tarnishing.

Painted surfaces and hardware should be maintained as follows:

  • Clean painted surfaces with water only, using a clean, soft cloth.
  • Clean hardware with water only, using a clean, soft cloth. Do not use metal polishes or solvents on plated hardware surfaces.
  • If your safe comes with stainless steel, please remove stainless steel protective film
